ABOUT ME
I am a composer and multi-instrumentalist with many credits as a bass player and backing vocalist since my first band, Starclub, were signed to Island Records in the early 90s.  I have worked with Robert Plant, The Pretenders, Oleta Adams, JJ Burnel (Stranglers), Justin Welch (Elastica) Neil Codling (Suede), The Egg and Paul Weller. I was a member of post Britpop outfit Rialto, recording two albums and touring worldwide.  The band has recently reformed, with live shows underway.
I co-wrote and performed on the hit single For Lovers by Pete Doherty, earning an Ivor Novello nomination, and after a break from the music business I was back writing and producing, eventually returning to education, obtaining a First Class Degree in Audio and Music Production in 2019.
With the emphasis on composition rather than performance, I began writing and scoring orchestral instrumentals. This led me to studying for an MA in Music and Audiovisual Media at Liverpool University, which I passed with Distinction in 2023.  The course taught me the professional processes and techniques of writing to picture, as well as practical skills in orchestration for screen.

I am available to write, arrange and record music for any project on any scale. I am a versatile musician and vocalist with vintage guitars and basses as well as hardware and software synths.  I can produce quality results from my home set up or score and orchestrate parts for real players in a recording studio, whatever suits your budget.
